The Robert Jones Scholarship is now accepting applications from graduating High School Seniors and current College Students. This scholarship honors the legacy of Robert Jones, a distinguished member of the Central Florida Community, celebrated for his unwavering ideals, ethics, and morals. A proud alumnus of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC, Robert Jones left an indelible mark on his community.
 

In 2026, the following scholarships will be awarded:
 

• Four (4) scholarships of $500 each for graduating high school seniors.

• One (1) scholarship of $1,000 for a current college student.
   

Award recipients will be honored in Orlando, FL during our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament Luncheon.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit:

• Resume

• Transcript (official or unofficial) – Minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5

• Letter of Recommendation – Must be on letterhead and include the recommender’s name, title (if applicable), email, and phone number

• Headshot – Clear, well-lit photo with a simple background

• Essay addressing:
  “How will the Robert Jones Scholarship benefit you? If awarded, how do you plan to use the funds?”

Essay Word Count Requirements

• High School Applicants: 500 words

• College Applicants: 750 words
   

Essay Guidelines

• Font: 12 pt Times New Roman

• Spacing: Double-spaced

• Margins: 1 inch on all sides

• Each page must include the applicant’s name and essay title

• Word count does not include the applicant’s name and title
   

Application Period

• Opens: Monday, March 30th

• Closes: Monday, April 13th

Open to students who attend a school in the Central Florida area. Eligible counties are listed in the FAQ document below.
